Step 1:

Lot/House/Property Selection

Whether finding the ideal lot or the best current property, we can work with you to build the vision to create a new and better-suited property for your home or business.

Step 2:

Cost & Financing

We develop a budget and estimate for you to review, and work with you to refine the project to translate into figures you feel comfortable and confident working with.

Step 3:


Choose from one of our available designs, or start building your dream property from the ground up. Tell us what you envision for your home or business, and we’ll get the details right to check off every box.

Step 4:


We define project scope and adjust your contract price to the smallest detail before moving forward. After we finalize your contract and receive a deposit, we begin work on the site. We maintain open lines of communication with you throughout the process to make sure you’re up to date on every aspect.

Step 5:


As we complete framing and mechanical/electrical rough-ins, we’ll complete a walkthrough with you to ensure that lights, outlets and switches are exactly where you want. We also perform a final walkthrough before closing to address any remaining items of interest.

Step 6:

Completion and Maintenance

At The Property District, we take great pride in providing you with a house or business space that you will enjoy for years to come. We will be there to hand you the keys, and make sure that our work both meets our expectations and exceeds yours.

Our work comes complete with a 1-year systems warranty and 10-year structural warranty. We will also schedule an 11-month walkthrough with you in order to address any issues that may have arisen during the first year.

Amanda and Michael

Amanda is co-founder of The Property District. Often described by others as a multi-tasker extraordinaire, Amanda has been renovating houses for the last ten years while continuing to be a successful practicing attorney. With a solid work ethic instilled in her by her hard-working restaurateur father, Amanda fell in love with turning old, distressed houses into beautiful homes with elbow grease, hard work and an eye for design and creating useful spaces.

Amanda is a clear communicator and problem solver with a passion for going out of her way to care for clients and achieve the highest quality of work possible. When not working, Amanda enjoys keeping up with the crazy chaos of life that comes with raising a family of six.

Michael is co-founder of The Property District. Hardworking and diligent, he is a natural builder with a passion for transforming his vision into reality. After initially selling homes for a local homebuilder, Michael realized his passion was in the process of creating something amazing from nothing. He went back to Purdue where he had previously achieved a Selling and Sales Management degree, and received his Master’s Degree in Construction and Engineering Management. Michael has 15 years of experience in construction and development projects throughout Central Indiana, and has played an integral role in managing the design and build of hundreds of projects for Fortune 100 companies.

As a business owner and general contractor, Michael’s attention to detail, calming construction site presence and open communication ensure quality on all projects. He has also worked diligently to ensure that The Property District stands out in the industry, putting efficient systems in place at every phase of construction. Although a former hockey all-star, Michael’s favorite position is the one he plays at home, as a loving husband and father to his four kids.
